Coquille Bonheur & Polytechnics Mauritius Sign Collaboration Agreement
Coquille Bonheur and Polytechnics Mauritius
Partner to Develop Tourism Talent

Mauritius, 31 August 2026 — Polytechnics Mauritius Ltd (PML) and Coquille Bonheur (CB) have signed a Collaboration Framework to strengthen cooperation in the fields of tourism, hospitality and related disciplines.
The partnership aims to create a stronger bridge between education, practical industry experience and employment, while addressing one of the tourism sector’s most pressing challenges: the availability of skilled human resources.
Under the framework, PML students pursuing tourism and related programmes will have opportunities to gain hands-on experience and industry exposure through internships at Coquille Bonheur, with the possibility of employment opportunities for suitable candidates following their studies.
The collaboration will also support the continuous professional development of Coquille Bonheur employees, who will have access to short courses, Continuing Professional Development (CPD), Certificate and Diploma programmes, as well as Degree programmes offered by PML.
Dr Christian Lefèvre, Managing Director of Coquille Bonheur, said:
“The tourism industry cannot wait for the labour shortage to solve itself. We have to be part of the solution. We need to invest in people, give young Mauritians the opportunity to acquire real industry experience and create clear pathways from training to employment.”
The partnership reflects a shared commitment to developing industry-ready talent, promoting lifelong learning and creating meaningful career opportunities for young Mauritians and existing tourism professionals.
As Dr Lefèvre emphasised:
“Our greatest asset in tourism is our people. Investing in their skills is investing in the future of Mauritius as a competitive and sustainable tourism destination.”
From classroom to workplace. From skills to careers. From talent to the future of tourism.
