POPE FRANCIS HOLY MASS HIGHLIGHTS

Pope Francis had an intense day in Mauritius on Monday. He flew from Madagascar to Port Louis, the capital of the island nation in the Indian Ocean, where he was welcomed by Prime Minister Pravind Jugnauth and the nation's Catholic Bishops.

The Pope went immediately to the Mary Queen of Peace Monument to celebrate Mass for around 100,000 of the faithful.

After lunch with Indian Ocean Bishops, Pope Francis prayed at the tomb of Blessed Father Laval, known as the Apostle of Mauritius.

His last event was a meeting with the nations' authorities, representatives of civil society, and the diplomatic corps.

The Pope then boarded the papal plane and returned to Antananarivo, Madagascar, to stay the night before returning to Rome on Tuesday.

Check out the beautiful highlights of yesterday holy mass gathering around 100,000 people at Marie Reine de La Paix in Port Louis.

Pope Francis on Twitter: Thank you for your warm welcome. May God bless you all you. May His love and mercy continue to accompany and protect you!
