French travel agents discover “LUX* Sous Les Etoiles Austral” 2018
A tour of the sumptuous hotels of the LUX* group in Reunion and Mauritius. This is the magical experience experienced by 40 of the best French travel agents, from June 14 to 19, in the heart of the sister islands. LUX* Resorts & Hotels has indeed come with the 10th edition of its “LUX* Sous Les Etoiles Austral” eductour in order to introduce its guests to the unique experience offered by its establishments, based on well-being, discovery as well as a personalized and quality service in order to reinvent the concept of holidays in the sun.
“LUX* Sous Les Etoiles Austral once again amazed our guests,” says Sydney Pierre, Head of Worldwide Sales at LUX* Resorts & Hotels. “During the last ten editions, we have constantly innovated to give new dimensions to the customer experience, in order to make their stay in our establishments unforgettable. The objective of this educational tour is, precisely, to demonstrate our unique know-how in terms of luxury hospitality to the best French travel agents,” adds Sydney Pierre.
For this 10th edition, the guests first had the privilege of discovering the LUX* Saint Gilles and Le Récif hotels, located on the coast of Reunion, in the form of fun and culinary workshops and visits to discover the riches of the island from its most beautiful angles. Then, heading for Mauritius for three intense and wonderful days under the sign of discovery through a panoply of activities that sharpened the senses and amazed the guests during getaways and visits to the LUX* Le Morne, LUX* Grand Gaube, LUX* Belle Mare, Tamassa and Merville.
Among the activities offered during the trip, the hotel group launched an Instagram challenge to allow agents to give free rein to their imagination and immortalize the best moments of their stay. At the end of this challenge, three photos were selected and the agents rewarded in the following categories, “the most fun”, “the most LUX*” and “the most sold”. The agents were then treated to a getaway to Ile aux Bénitiers, Roche Crystal and Ile des deux Cocos, where the taste buds were in celebration with mixed and colorful buffets. Discovery stations and tastings were also on the program; especially with ice cream from ICI, or spirits from G&T, Rum and Tastevin.
During a Gala dinner held on June 18 at the LUX* Grand Gaube, Sydney Pierre warmly thanked its partners, essential to the success of this great travel experience, namely Air Austral, the Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority (MTPA), Reunion Tourist Office, Coquille Bonheur and April International Assurance.
