MAURITIUS WITHOUT A PASSPORT FOR

REUNIONESE ON VACATION

The Republic of Mauritius has announced the possibility for Reunionese to enter Mauritius with a valid identity card from Monday September 19 until July 30, 2023.

Travel facilitated for Reunionese on vacation on the sister island subject to conditions:

This measure will only apply to French nationals residing in Réunion Island and traveling from Réunion Island for holiday purposes;
The stay must be for a minimum of 2 nights in Mauritius;
They must meet the usual immigration requirements in terms of return air tickets and confirmed accommodation arrangements
They must, on arrival, present their valid French identity card instead of their passport to the agents of immigration at the point of entry and will be issued an "entry permit";
These measures indeed make travel conditions more flexible for all travelers from Reunion.
